Patriots for Freedom 5K Run/1M Walk
The Liberty Baseball Patriots for Freedom 5K Run/1M Walk (formerly known as the Reindeer Run) is sponsored by Liberty Athletic Boosters - RBI Club. Proceeds support the Liberty Baseball Program and Honor Flight Columbus. Last year, we had over 250 community members participate in the Olentangy Liberty Baseball 5K. In honor of our Veteran’s Day event, Liberty Baseball has partnered with Honor Flight Columbus - an organization that recognizes Central Ohio’s Senior Veterans for their sacrifices by taking them to Washington, D.C. to visit the war memorials. Honor Flight Columbus has flown approximately 5,000 veterans from the Central Ohio area since it began in 2010 and currently has over 1,200 requests from veterans who would like to make the trip.
