Available to anyone who would like to receive ashes in the sign of the Christian Cross. Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent - a 40-day period before Easter Sunday. Lent is intended to be a time of self-denial, moderation, fasting, the forsaking of sinful activities and habits, AND the taking on of new and healthier practices in our spiritual, relational, and emotional life.
